Many years ago I bred pure breed registered German Shepherds. Then children arrived and although we always had pet dogs there was no time for dog breeding. I am now retired, children all grown and grandchildren are enjoying our pet dogs. Three years ago we lost out darling Bichon Friese, Angelina, at 13 & 1/2 years old. 2 days later I bought a Bichon cross Shih Tzu, Suzie. Could not bare to come home to no loving white fluffy girl to greet me. Plus brother Reg was mourning terribly. Less than 1 year later Reg, our black Toy Poodle, Reg (named after my father), also passed away at age 12 & 1/2 years. We started breeding with two sister Bichon Frise pure bred girls, Sophia and Angel, and a pure-bred Toy Poodle male, Joe, as well as our desexed Suzie. Sophia started to fret when her second litter left. She fretted more so after the 3rd litter, so we stopped breeding with her. Her sister Angel is a great mother but is not bothered when her puppies leave. Angel will have her last litter early to mid 2026. We have a new pure-bred Bichon Frise called Esmae who will take over as our breeder when Angel retires late 2026.
