Hello, I'm Elke W.

Hi, my name is Elke and I run Elkonie Mirri Mini Dachshunds, MDBA breeder of Mini Dachshunds since 2022 and based on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales (NSW). I have always had dogs since I can remember, having grown up with German Shepherds as well as Italian Greyhounds, Foxies and Labradors. Elkonie has been a lifelong dream to continue my parents' breeding program which has now come to life; and Mirri is my Dunghutti Nation word for Dog. Elkonie used to be my parents breeding program, which I used to help with in breeding and showing German Shepherds around 20-years ago. Fast forward to present day - Elkonie Mirri breeds miniature dachshunds using two female dachies (Honey and Skippy) with our main man Cupid. We also have two females that'll soon be a part of our breeding program. Our program is also home to two retired dachies, cats and chickens!
