Hello, I'm Sarah H.

I’m a mum to three wonderful (most of the time!) children, and two very beloved toy-mini sized Cavoodles. So, let’s be honest… that makes five kids in our home! ☺️ We live in a beautiful seaside suburb of Perth, WA, and our lives are very much shaped by the ocean and the laid-back lifestyle that comes with it. My husband works in construction and built our family home. So, when it came time to welcome a furry friend into our lives, we knew how important it was to make a thoughtful and well-informed decision. We spent over a year searching high and low to rescue a puppy or dog, but sadly, we couldn’t find the right fit for our young family. So, I sat down and carefully listed all the traits we needed and wanted in a dog, qualities that would genuinely complement our family and lifestyle: 🧡 Low to non-shedding: With a brand-new house and three young children, we didn’t want to add more cleaning to our plates. 🧡 Small in size: We wanted a dog that would be manageable and safe around little ones; lower size = lower power! 🧡 Loving, friendly, and vibrant temperament: A true companion, through and through. That list ultimately led us to the Toy-Mini sized Cavoodle, a perfect blend of the low-shedding, intelligent, and outgoing Poodle, and the sweet, tolerant, and loyal Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Bliss! 😍 After more careful research, we found our Lucy girl, and from the moment she joined our family, it was clear: we had made the best decision. She’s everything we hoped for and so much more. Our kids adore her, we adore her, and just about everyone she meets falls in love too. I always encourage others to take the same thoughtful approach when choosing a dog. Start by considering a rescue puppy or dog. But no matter the path you choose, it’s vital to match the dog’s temperament, size, and energy to your lifestyle. Puppies and dogs are a long-term commitment, and they deserve that care and consideration. Over the years, I’ve had all sorts of dogs in my life, from loyal Rhodesian Ridgebacks to endlessly lovable (and shedding!) Golden Retrievers. Each breed has its strengths, but when it comes to family life and finding a joyful companion, our toy/mini Cavoodle has been a dream come true. We have recently welcomed a new beautiful girl named Roxy. Roxy is a wonderful mini-sized Cavoodle with an amazing nature. First and foremost, she (along with Lucy) is our beloved pet and pending appropriate health testing and screening she will hopefully become a future mumma in our very small home-based breeding program. Nothing beats the companionship, joy, and unconditional love of a dog 🐶 but choosing the right one? That makes all the difference.
