Hello, I'm Sarah H.

I am a mother of 3 wonderful (most of the time) children and a very beloved Toy Cavoodle…so let’s make that 4 children ☺️. We live in a beautiful suburb by the sea, in Perth WA. Our lifestyle is surrounded by the area in which we live and our love for the ocean. My husband is in construction, he built our family home. So when the time came for us to add a pooch to our family, we searched high and low for well over a year to rescue a puppy/dog, but unfortunately we didn’t find the right one for us. So, I wrote down and prioritised all the qualities we wanted and needed in a puppy/dog that would suit our family and lifestyle, these were as follows: 🧡 low to non shedding (having a new home and 3 children meant we wanted to minimise cleaning, not add to it); 🧡 A small sized dog was important because we have young children and dogs can jump (let’s minimise the power of a dog with its size); 🧡 Friendly, loving and vibrant temperament, a true companion! And we ultimately landed on a Toy Cavoodle. We believe we have the best of both worlds; the friendly, outgoing and intelligence of a Poodle, plus its low to non shedding coat (win/win)! Mixed with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; a very friendly and loyal pooch known to be tolerant, patient and good with young children and other dogs! Bliss 😍…and so, after careful research and selection; Lucy was chosen! To say she has matched the criteria mentioned above is a complete understatement; she is our best mate! She has been THE best decision we have made in selecting a dog to share life with! Our kids adore her, we love her and just about everyone she meets and greets is besotted with her. I encourage all people to go through a similar process that we did (above), to make sure you select the RIGHT breed of dog for you and your LIFESTYLE. I encourage you to search for a rescue puppy or dog in the first instance, always! Let’s try to reduce the amount of puppies and dogs that end up in rescue facilities - please select carefully and prioritise what is important to you in a puppy/dog! I have always had dogs in my life, from Rhodesian Ridgebacks, who are perfect for loyalty and guarding/protecting, to Golden Retrievers, who are perfect for just about everything - but my gosh they shed! So again, I encourage you to think long and hard about all the qualities you want in a dog. Dogs are a long term commitment… however if selected carefully they will give you a life time of unconditional love! Nothing beats the companionship and unconditional love of a dog 🐶
