I have shared my life with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since the 1990s and fell completely in love with the breed when a friend brought his Cavalier to visit. Since then, I have always had at least one Cavalier as part of my family. Over the years, my focus has been on finding quality bloodlines with comprehensive DNA testing and the rare Heart Protective Gene (NEBL3). We were fortunate to obtain two beautiful Mains Registered pedigree girls that carry the very valuable heart protective gene from a highly reputable breeder. Current research suggests that dogs with the NEBL3 variant will be less likely to develop severe Myxomatous Mitral Valve Disease (MMVD), the most common inherited heart condition affecting Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
