Our love for Border Collies began over 20 years ago when we brought home a beautiful red and white rescue boy. Affectionate, loyal and incredibly intuitive, he gave us 13 wonderful years despite having a difficult start in life. Over the years, we owned several pet Border Collies and spent five years rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming many others. While some of our rescues simply needed time, security, love and basic training to thrive, we were deeply saddened by the number of dogs we encountered with significant mental and behavioural issues as a result of poor breeding, genetics and difficult early experiences. We decided after burning out in rescue, that we wanted to help produce happy, healthy and well-balanced dogs, while also taking responsibility for them throughout their lives. All of our puppies and retired dogs are placed under a contract requiring them to return to us at any stage if they ever need a home. We have welcomed one of our boys back since we began breeding, following a relationship breakdown and after retraining him, he is loving his best life with his new dad. More recently, we have also started breeding Bordoodles. Having grown up with Poodles, and following many requests from our clients, it felt like a natural progression. We are now working towards second and third-generation Bordoodles within our lines, with the same focus on health, temperament and lifelong care.
