I've always had dogs and whilst the children were little I bred Labradors to great success. When our final Lab, dear Missy passed away, I wanted a breed similar to the size and nature of a Labrador but not as food orientated. Hence my Golden Retriever idea was born as they seemed the perfect breed and we had so much space to accommodate them.
