Hello, I'm Marina R.

My name is Marina, and I am a passionate breeder of Border Collies with a love for the breed that began back in the 1980s. At the time, my family lived on acreage in Brisbane, and I bought my first Border Collie for my mother, who had been a pedigree breeder of Australian Terriers. That puppy quickly captured my heart and sparked what would become a lifelong devotion to this incredible breed. As a keen horse rider, I later welcomed my first male, Bobby, as my trail companion. He was the most loyal and intelligent dog, and it was through him that I developed a desire to preserve and continue the wonderful type and temperament he represented. From Bobby’s line came our first champion, a female named Miss Cher. She became the 2003 National Agility Champion, earning numerous titles and proudly holding the honour of being the first Agility Champion in Australia. Since then, I have been privileged to breed many accomplished Border Collies who have excelled in sports, agility, and the show ring. Our most recent achievement is Dual Champion Borderstrand Zemi Connection, a true testament to the versatility and excellence of the breed. Personally, I have enjoyed competing in dog showing and sheep herding, which has deepened my respect for the Border Collie’s natural working ability and sound structure. Today, my family and I live on a 30-acre farm in Wolvi, where my dogs enjoy the lifestyle they deserve — open space, enrichment, and the opportunity to thrive in the environment they were bred for. My goal as a breeder has always been to raise Border Collies that are healthy, versatile, and true to type, with sound temperaments and the drive to excel whether as companions, working dogs, or competitors.
