I started off fostering ex-breeding dogs from puppy farms 30 years ago which lead me to become involved with trainers, groomers etc. which then lead me to showing dogs as a professional dog handler for many, many years. I was a member through ANKC Dogs SA for 20 years, highly involved. I even did dog photography through Dogs SA. My daughter then joined me dog showing once she turned 7 as the age required to start. We bred & showed Bearded Collies for 17 years until we sadly had to let them go to escape a domestic violence relationship I was in for 10 years. It was extremely heart breaking for us. We then continued showing for others breeders although finally retired from this in 2024. I still socialise with the many friends made through dog showing. We stumbled across Toy Poodles by accident as I took on a foster Toy Poodle whose owner had passed away. We completely fell in-love with the breed, & found they were perfect for our now much smaller home.
