From a young age, I was always a dog lover, but it wasn't until I met my first Jack Russell Terrier that I truly found my calling. My journey with this extraordinary breed began not with a plan to become a breeder, but with a deep, personal fascination with their unique spirit and history. My passion quickly evolved into a commitment to the breed's future. I learned about the history of the Jack Russell, originally bred by Reverend John Russell in the 19th century for fox hunting, focusing on working ability, stamina, and a small, flexible chest to follow quarry underground. I found a community of dedicated owners and breeders who weren't focused on show ring "fads," but on preserving the original, functional dog. I realised that producing sound, healthy terriers with their natural instincts intact was vital work.
