Hello, I'm Ann-Marie B.
Deutsch = "star spirit". Based in Queensland, Australia. GSPs with spirit, strength and star quality. "Sternengeist" is a name that was taken from the German words sternen "star", and geist "spirit / celestial/ ethereal". Sternengeist is a young prefix, but the people behind it have decades of experience in the dog world. We are: Dr Ann-Marie Boyd: Started showing purebred dogs in 1986, initially with a Chihuahua (I know, right) before moving on to Dobermanns in 1987, and finally to German Shorthaired Pointers in 2011. In that time I've achieved show titles - A20, Champions and Grand Champions - with my dogs, as well as agility, endurance, BH, track and search and scent work titles. Breeding was never really on my priority list. I've been fortunate to have super dogs bred by super breeders, with no burning desire to create my own. I have bred 2 small litters under the my prefix "Tanzenhund", with those pups gaining titles in both the showring and/or dog sports. Times change, and in partnership with Fiona Terry we are investing in our small, young team of German Shorthaired Pointers with the aim of producing beautiful, healthy and talented dogs into the future. Fiona Terry: I began with terriers, showing Soft coated Wheatens and West Highland Whites. I've been involved in training assistance and scent detection dogs, and now competing in a number of dog sports. We are based in south east Qld. We have plans for a very exciting litter in late 2026 *if the stars align*. Genuine enquiries are welcome. Our dogs are titled and health tested, and are family first. They come from some of the very best of show and working lines in the USA, Europe and Australia. Our dogs' profiles and pedigrees can be viewed at dogzonline.
