Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are born and reared in the house until around 5 weeks of age. From here they are moved outside to a puppy pen to play. They also begin to see and explore the garden under supervision.
Health
My puppies are all bile acid tested between 8 & 9 weeks of age. We feel that 6 weeks is too young to conduct a test as their digestive systems can still be very under developed. We always have our puppies pre & post tested as we feel this is the only way to get an accurate result. If the puppy has a parent who is a…
Home environment
At home the puppies get to interact with the other dogs when old enough. They also meet our cats, birds and poultry. Any visitor to the property is encouraged to pat the puppies and talk to them. We find this a great way to see how the pup interacts and this helps us select the right pup for the right person
Included with our puppies
When purchasing a puppy the new owner gets a bag of premium dog food and also information on how to claim a free bag and discount vouchers on future bags. They also get blanket and a puppy book. In the pack is also a copy of my care instructions, vaccination record and health test results.

Genetic Test
Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD/vWD) is a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a lack of a specific clotting factor. There are three forms of the disease, types 1, 2 & 3. A DNA test is available for each type of VWD to identify whether a breeding dog is a carrier or might be affected. The severity of VWD varies widely between breeds and individuals, ranging from life threatening, through to having no impact on clotting ability.
