Hello, I'm Neil & Graham C.

We have both been involved in the pedigree dog world for 40 years on different sides of the world Neil's first dog was a Weimaraner that was his 21st birthday present. He started showing her. This was soon followed by a male and a long coat female followed a year or so later. These 2 later dogs had successful show careers. He later acquired a Dalmatian that was to be his first best in show winner but gundogs were his passion at that time. Neil had always admired the Pointer breed and in 1993 he purchased his first Pointer. These quickly became his major breed and he had huge success in the showring with his dogs for the next 2 decades. In 2012 the last litter of Barragan Pointers were bred with the decision made to concentrate on smaller dogs. Neil had always owned a terrier, usually Jack Russell's but he had also owned a Bedlington. In 2004 Neil was introduced to Cairn Terriers. This enchanting little breed soon had a permanent home at Barragan. A breeding program was established and success in the showring soon followed. Today we are breeding a very stylish Cairn based on well established UK bloodlines. Graham started his involvement in the pedigree dog world in the UK as a 14 year old. His first show dog was a Rottweiler. With his parents encouragement he soon had established a breeding and showing kennel based on the best bloodlines available at the time. The last Monterrez Rottweiler died in 2015 after being imported to Australia, some years earlier by Graham & Neil. In 1993 Graham was looking for smaller breed of dog and a friend suggested a Schipperke. After much research he purchased a grandaughter of the UK's breed record holder. This little puppy was to go on to be a UK champion and the matriarch of Monterrez Schipperkes. In 2006 Graham emigrated to Australia. He & Neil were fortunate to lease some Schipperkes that Graham had sent to Australia some years before and in 2008 the first Australian Monterrez Schipperkes were born. T oday Monterrez Schipperkes are considered to be some of the best in the world. Both Graham and Neil are passionate about their dogs and the puppies that are produced in both breeds. They are both licenced judges. Graham & Neil are both international judges. Graham is an All Breeds judge and Neil is currently licenced for Toys,Terriers, Gundogs, Hound & Non Sporting at Championship show level. He is also licenced as an Open Show judge for Utility. Both Graham and Neil hold executive positions with Cowra & Dist Kennel Club Inc & the Schipperke Association of NSW. They are also member of The Cairn Terrier Club of NSW.
