Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
From the first week, we introduce ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction). We work with each of them closely by supportive handling and clipping their nails. We introduce sounds that they will be hearing throughout their lives and making the experience as positive as possible for them.…
Health
All our dogs are up-to-date with their vaccinations and regularly vet checked. We run our dogs each day so that they keep healthy and active. By exercising them daily, they develop their back muscles to further prevent any back issues like IVDD. We also ensure the health of our dogs by feeding them a well balanced…
Home environment
We live in our home with a large backyard that our pups have access to. Our puppies have their own room in our house, which is where we keep their whelping bed. When we have nice weather we let the puppies out in the backyard (supervised like all our dogs) to experience the grass and to have more sensory play…
Included with our puppies
Our puppy packs include; - A digital owners guidebook (information on the puppy's personality, vaccination & worming schedules, puppy proofing your home, setting routines and getting you to think about bringing the puppy home, things like where they will sleep, setting up a routine and schedule, feeding, toilet…

Genetic Test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic Test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies.

About the Breeder
A little about us
I fell in love with Dachshunds 8 and a half years ago and haven't looked back, they are quite a specific breed but that's what I love most about them, they have such a quirky nature and will shower you in so much love. Our dogs are first and foremost part of our family (furry humans I like to call them), and are…
Why we got involved in breeding
I fell in love with the breed and truly believe everyone deserves a Dachshund in their life. Our aim is to breed healthy, well socialised dogs that are clear of all genetic disease so they can make another family as happy as ours have made us.
Our special touch
For me as a breeder, puppy development is really important for me, I have brought home puppies who have been well developed and socialised, and puppies who have not (which has taken a lot more work from myself to get them up to scratch). A lot of breeders will tell you that the decision on which breeder you choose is…
