Additional Tests

ToDaMoon Bernese conducts 2 additional tests available for the Bernese Mountain Dog.

dna iconGenetic Test

This is a disease affecting the spinal cord of older dogs, initially causing wobbliness and eventually hindlimb paralysis. It can affect a wide range of breeds. There is now a DNA test that can indicated if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.

stethoscope iconPhysical Test

These breeders have had x-rays taken on their breeding dogs to assess the quality of their elbow joints. Dogs with very low ‘elbow scores’ are less likely to develop elbow problems in the future and less likely to pass hereditary elbow problems on to their puppies.

About the Breeder

A little about us

Owned and Loved our Berners for the past 20 years and in 2022 when the time was right (semi retired )- we had the opportunity to Breed these stunning gentle giants.

Why we got involved in breeding

To share this amazing breed with other like-minded people. To better the breed, in extending its life span with a quality balanced Raw Diet, less vaccines and natural Tick/Worm/Flea treatments etc

Our special touch

I know a happy and content dog. One that has a routine and is stimulated, both mentally and physically. My Dogs are my life and we have adventures every day! My Dogs are family first.
