Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our babies are born and raised in our country home with 3 teenage children and a lot of love. Emphasis is placed on appropriate socialisation and an enriching environment.
Health
Our puppies are fed a combination of Black Hawk and Royal Canin Premium Dry and Wet Foods. At six weeks, puppies will be vet checked and will also receive their microchipping and vaccinations. Puppies are wormed from two weeks old on a fortnightly basis.
Home environment
Our babies are raised in our lounge room in the centre of a large, noisy family, in country Gippsland, with a lot of love.
Included with our puppies
Our puppies leave us registered with the ANKC(DogsVic), health checked, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped, and with a thorough folder of information in their puppy packs. Their puppy packs include a bag of their dry food, wet food samples, a blanket that smells like Mum, a collar and lead, and lots of toys and…
Health Tests
Core Tests(1/3)
Trulore Chihuahuas conducts 1 out of 3 core health tests which RightPaw believe are most important to conduct for the Chihuahua.
Patellar Luxation
Physical Test

Additional Tests
Trulore Chihuahuas conducts 2 additional tests available for the Chihuahua.
Genetic Test
Congenital Macrothrombocytopenia (CM) is a mild disease which normally does not have any impact on an affected dog’s health or lifespan but can cause concern if noticed on routine bloodwork without knowing the cause. It is a blood disease resulting in low numbers of very large platelets. There is a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this condition.
Genetic Test
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration of the retina and eventually, blindness. There are a variety of sub-types of PRA, which can occur in various breeds. There are various DNA tests available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

I have been a member of dog obedience clubs for 40 years, since the age of 11. A Competitive Obedience person earlier on, I have trialled several dogs up to UD and CDX in the…
Why we got involved in breeding
ANKC registered breeders of Golden Retrievers since 2003. Our dogs are bred down from the canine love of my life, Crowlee Royal Flush CDX(Patrick), 1994-2010. We breed Goldens only very occasionally, from appropriately health-tested parents, and our puppies are home-raised on our country property with love and care,…

We are committed to producing healthy dogs with wonderful temperaments. Our puppies are raised in our home with three teenagers, and are well-handled, socialised and much loved. We follow the appropriate breed testing with our dogs to try and improve the overall health of our puppies and have had several families who…
